Wipe the outside of the reclaimed wood dresser from top to bottom (remember to wipe with the grain of the wood). If the rag becomes dirty halfway through the process, you should use a fresh rag.

Clean the inside of the reclaimed wood dresser with a fresh rag saturated with wood cleaner. Use a fresh rag for each tray. Clean the outside of the dresser drawers as you cleaned the interior of the drawers. Allow them to dry thoroughly and push them back to their seats in the bureau. Place activated charcoal bags or sheets in each tray. Close the reclaimed wood dresser drawer and leave remains activated charcoal until no trace of a bad smell.
